How do I remove the notification next to the home icon that I started a new daily chess game?

When I start a new game, I get an alert next to the home icon. I also get an alert next to the play button, because that makes it my turn to move. This seems redundant. How can I turn off the alert next to the home button when I start a new game?

Also, how does the max number of games setting work in the daily chess settings? It does not seem to prevent me from being automatically matched with someone with over X amount of games in progress when I create a custom seek.

Thank you for your assistance.

If I am not mistaken, you get the notification that you started a game, but if you were black then you wouldn't get the alert next to the play button unless it was your move. So, the notifications are two different things.

But then, since my opponent accepted the game, they would probably play their first move immediately. I would get a notification right after they did so.

Yes, it makes more sense to do it that way, but not all do that. Also, what if you accidentally didn't mean to do it and you didn't realize you clicked it? The notification also gives you the chance to abort the game before a move is made.

Regardless of which side you are, you can abort the game before you make a move though.

I don't believe you can turn that off without turning off other potentially wanted alerts. The settings are in Settings Notifications

Regarding your other question, that just prevents other people from sending you game challenges, if you are active in that many games, or more. It doesn't prevent you from creating new seeks or for games starting in a tournament you sign up for or one moving to a new round.
