How do I Turn on my Friends Log On Notifications?

I remember disabling that option before i knew what daily chess was, now i cant find it.

They doesn't mean getting alerts when friends challenge us, but when they play chess or, at least be online. Is it possible to get notifications when your friend is online and playing?
