I like to play chess, but internet chess has pretty much ruined my enjoyment of the game. I float around 1000 on here and I believe I'm a better player than that. Not much, but better. About 1/4 of my games I lose are from time running out, but there are not tournaments with 12 minutes or 15 minute games. I've also run into many players that are rated under 800 and yet at the beginning of many matches they're playing perfectly until they've done a good job of destroying me piece wise and then they stop using the their chess engine. I've even come back on some of them and won the game because they have no idea what they're doing. I'm no Hikaru, but I'm also not stupid. This usually happens on weekends and I've only been on here a little over a month. I'm subscribed to Levy Rozman's YouTube channel and he's been catching those cheaters, but they're cheaters that use their chess engine until the end of the game and it shows them at 98+% accuracy with no loses. How do you catch those that only use a chess engine to decimate a person pieces until they feel like they can win in the low rated games? I understand I'm not that good at this game yet, but I know I'm better than most low rated players under 800 unless they're sandbagging their real rating or it's a GM doing a speed run or something to 3000, which I've seen Hikaru do. I just want to know because I'm disheartened to keep playing on here. I'm not learning the game playing against cheaters.
