You did your part. You reported it. As for how long it will take for something, if anything to be done? Who knows.
As far as your other game? Play it out. If your opponent is playing unfairly, you will get those precious online points back.

Sometimes it's very fast, less than a day. Sometimes it's a week. I don't know why it's faster sometimes.
If there were less evidence it might not happen at all, but the way you describe it this guy should be banned sooner or later.
As for your other game with him, one idea is to stall as long as possible... but if he's banned and all his games time out after X days, if you're one of the ones to win later you'll gain fewer points. If you resign and he's banned, you'll probably get more points out of that than in the first scenario I mention... but if you resign and he's not banned for a long time (months) or at all, then the points are likely permanantly lost.
Thanks for the responses. Yea, I'm 500 higher than him in blitz, 800 higher than him in puzzles, etc.. and just got stomped in our game, with him getting 99% accuracy. I think the chances of that happening naturally are 1 in a million.

Well, after only 8 games (all wins) no one knows what his real daily rating is. If he's sharing the account with a friend or something, that might not trigger a ban for computer use, but it would explain why his blitz is so low but his daily games are very high.
I ran chess.com analysis on your game with him at a little higher depth (24) and the % went down to 97. That doesn't mean he was or wasn't cheating, but it does mean he probably wasn't using an engine for every single move... so in my mind it means the chances of him being banned are less than 100% (but are still high).

Link the game but don't tell us his name
It's not hard to find...

Wouldn't that show his name? Sorry I'm new to that. It was my most recent daily game loss if you want to look into it.

Yea, I saw he had one other game in like the 80's. So sure... I guess he could have a GM friend playing on his account also or something, but then heck, haha, get your own account man, don't beat up on me!
Tbh I wouldn't be suspicious of that game, He just capitialized on your mistakes
Oh I messed up for sure, I'm no GM, and I definitely analyzed it in order to figure out how to not make those mistakes in the future... but I don't know if I agree he's not cheating. Guess we'll see
You allowed your king's pawn protection to be wrecked. You blundered a knight, bishop, and then a rook.
No need to cheat.
Again, I messed up for sure. Definitely blundered those pieces. I think even if I got beat by alphazero, its still up to the player to blunder and lose. I guess my contention is that I don't feel he was a strong enough player to capitalize on all of those mistakes, especially ALL of those mistakes. I'm not arguing with you guys that I played a great game and there's no way he should have won at all. But to get that high of an accuracy when his blitz rating is 1000. And to get that high of accuracies against all of his opponents so far....
Maybe he is not a cheater. I analysed one of the games and it said that he made a mistake. Maybe he is cheating and being sneaky, or he just gets a board on the table, puts the position in and checks most of the moves without the computer. But anyways, I think that is also not allowed.
It was a 1 move per day game. The longest you spent on any move was 21 minutes. You need to use your time better.
I play regularly and get different scores all the time. Sometimes 98-99% accuracy. A lot of the time the machine thinks you are making a mistake when you are not. Other times I've blundered entire matches and the thing gives me a 95% plus grade.

I don't see how that is relevant to the topic.

Its relevant because you did not use your time wisely. That lead to the multiple blunders you committed. Your time would be better spent working on your game, and not accusing people of cheating.
Just my .02
Come on, his opponent, in each of his last 5 untimed puzzle rushes, failed puzzles rated below 1000.
Then he plays a game like that? "It's your fault for not playing better"
How good is he supposed to have to play to beat a guy who apparently can't figure out how to capture a free piece given infinite time?
I lost to a player in a daily game of chess and challenged him to a rematch. After our game I did the game report/analysis for my loss and my opponent played with a 99% accuracy. I looked at his completed games and he's won 8 daily games, never lost, and usually has 95-99% accuracy for all of them. Giving his other time control ratings (700-1000ish) I don't think I accidentally ended up going against a GM, i assume he's cheating. So I reported him.
Well now I don't want to finish our other game, but I don't want to let it time out and lose, just because I'm not playing him. Will the chess.com team look into it and resolve it soon? Will it end our current game for us?
