I am receiving abusive messages after a game finishes even though my chat settings are set to friends only. How can I ensure only friends can send me messages (or block messages entirely)?

You need to change your message settings to friends only as well. Not just your game chat settings.

Thanks for the feedback. I do not see an option under settings for messages to allow "friends only". Is it in some other area? I'm in a basic plan, not sure if it's ok only available under paid plan?

You set that under Settings > Privacy on the website
