How to cancel?

The resign button should be an abort since no moves have been made. As long as it is not a tourney game.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me, I really appreciate it, no I haven't clicked on the resign button, in fear of losing 177 points.
No moves have been made by any side, it has me as white.

Hello, if I resign on an unwanted challenge, on a new game with no moves made by either side, will it be null & void, or will I lose the stated 177 points?
Do I let it time out, 6 days remaining?
I've left messages on the chess board & notified opponent, so far nothing back.

Thank you to all the above for your input & looking out for fellow members.
I got this after contacting membersupport@chess.com: Amelia replied:
Hi Brendan, No worries! I have aborted this game for you.
It was the resign button (white flag), in the future, if you are still unsure, if you hover your cursor over the button it will tell you the options, when I did this it said abort.
I hope this was helpful. Have a great day!
(I didn't explain that I'm using a tablet & haven't got the option of hovering over the button with a cursor). Thanks everybody, Brendan.
