The resign button should be an abort since no moves have been made. As long as it is not a tourney game.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me, I really appreciate it, no I haven't clicked on the resign button, in fear of losing 177 points.
No moves have been made by any side, it has me as white.
Hello, if I resign on an unwanted challenge, on a new game with no moves made by either side, will it be null & void, or will I lose the stated 177 points?
Do I let it time out, 6 days remaining?
I've left messages on the chess board & notified opponent, so far nothing back.
just let him time out, the only thing it will be is annoying.
It has me as white, therefore I may be penalised for failing to move?
If it is the first move, I don't think so. It will abort.
I'm pretty sure the button, with no moves, is an abort. Unless it is a tourney game.

Unless the player is using the vacation to prolong a hopelessly lost game, nothing will be done. Vacation can be used and is limited. Just have to play other games instead and wait for them to run out or play out the game.
