How to forfeit

I sometimes miscalculate the time and start a match when I don't have the time to use it and would like a forfeit option to be able to not have to use time I don't have to finish the match

If a player resigns, they lose.

Can you explain this to me then? Why did I loose this match?

It shows the game was abandoned.

Could have been due to a disconnect.

If she is the one who left though why did she win?

Based on the result, you abandoned so you must have been disconnected from the Live server for too long

forfeiting isn't that complicated. Just press the abort button with the flag next to it. After the first two moves, the abort button changes to a resign button, so you should abort quickly or else it becomes resigning.

You can't forfeit a game after you play it, and disconnecting gives you around 2 minutes to reconnect after disconnecting before it becomes auto-resign, and if you stall it gives you 30 seconds or so
