The games you play here don't count towards titles.

Titles are awarded by FIDE, for over the board play.

What is over the board play ?

Pl guide.  I am interested.

In real life, people use chess boards and pieces. That is called over the board play.

The tournaments that count toward titles all take place over the board.  FIDE is the international chess federation. If you want a title, you have to play in over the board tournaments rated by FIDE.

I am sure there are many in India but I do not know where. Look at FIDE.com for more info.

Because it's so easy to CHEAT over the internet. On the internet, how do they know that it's really YOU choosing the moves, and not a computer or another player?

No, Chess.com doesn't award its own titles - it just recognises the titles awarded by FIDE (GM, IM, CM, FM, WGM, WIM, WCM, WFM) and the NM (National Master) titles awarded by the various national chess federations.

Chess.com does not recognise FIDE's online titles.

can you get a rating of less than 100 in chess.com? Like if you have a rating of exactly 100, and then you lose in a rated game, can the rating become double digit?

No, pretty sure 100 is the bottom rating.

The CM title is not awarded at 2200 FIDE. It is a norm-based title and can be achieved without actually reaching a rating of 2200. The minimum rating for the title is 2000, but you have to have a performance rating over 2200 for a minimum number of tournaments.

There is a HUGE difference between online chess and OTB chess - even at slower time controls. The advantage that some have over others with things like mouse speed, shortcut knowledge etc. is erased. There's also the added pressure of actually making the moves. It doesn't sound like much, but most tournament players have lost games simply for touching pieces too quickly. Playing at home versus playing at an event and playing over a screen versus face-to-face are also obvious differences (and also very significant).

What?

Find CM requirements here: https://handbook.fide.com/chapter/B012022. It's just 2200.

CM and FM aren't norm based

Contact a good Chess lawyer from New Delhi. Explain that over the course of 5 long months, your rating doubled from 1,000 to 2,000 due to your hard work, dedication, and love of chess.

Explain that you would endure extreme financial hardship if you cannot teach chess using a proper FIDE title, and that FIDE is causing emotional stress to both you and your pregnant fiancé.  Explain that to minimize the damages FIDE must pay, they can just bypass the issue by granting your a proper title, in which case you will dismiss the lawsuit and avoid embarrassing FIDE for being overly strict on their requirements that discriminate against the playing of professional chess wearing just underwear.
