can anyone please tell me how to make a 0-0 or 0-0-0 move in which king moves two places towards the rook. I am not able to do that in chess.com while I play against the computer.

You have played  39 games on chess.com. I assume this is not the first time you are trying castling.

Your question implies that you are having difficulty playing against the computer. Which one? The ones in Live Chess or the ones in Play Vs. Computer?

Hi vikrantsingh47,

On a player’s turn he may move his king two squares over to one side and then move the rook from that side’s corner to right next to the king on the opposite side. (See the example below.) In order to castle, however, it must meet the following conditions:

  • it must be that king’s very first move
  • it must be that rook’s very first move
  • there cannot be any pieces between the king and rook to move
  • the king may not be in check or pass through check

Are you sure those 4 criteria's are being met?

Thanks

Regards

Hydra

sorry to reply late, notmtwain. I am not able to do that while I play vs computer in chess.com. i drag the king on the square to make the move but nothing happens. also all conditions are met which Hydra has mentioned. but, when i play in my android app, I am able to make the perticular move. I don't know why it is not possible in computer, while playing against computer. may I know if you are able to do that?

The other option is to click the king, then click the relevant rook.
