How to make illegal moves and play by my self

So like I’m trying to play chess with a ai but it keeps making illegal moves which I can’t do so I’m wondering if there’s a website where I can do illegal moves and play by myself

Most sites allow you to play against yourself, but I don't think I've ever come across a site that will enable you to play an illegal move. Maybe there is some way to do it as well, who knows...

The best way to do this would be on a physical chessboard.

It's unlikely the AI is making illegal moves. It's either en passant or castling.

That is very likely not the site's ChatGPT bot but the actual ChatGPT that made and illegal move. It's not something you can do here.

If you want to simulate a game, what you will have to do is go to learn-analysis-set up position and then use the analysis to simulate a game, it will probably be annoying to coordinate, but you can use custom position to 'break' the rules

On chess.com go to setup position and play in the editor, you can make all sorts of moves there

The assumption here was the OP was playing an actual bot, not ChatGPT wink

actually, it can happen. i was just playing against ai. here is the position and what they played.

this is what the ai said: "That's a good move. It takes my pawn and opens up the center of the board. I will respond with 6. Qh5." when i pointed it out, it replies this. "You are correct. My apologies. I have made an illegal move. I will retract my move and play 6. O-O instead." this shows AI can play illegal moves

The assumption in my comment was the AI in question was a Chess.com bot. They don't make illegal moves.

I think i might've found a way to do it: if you go to learn, then analysis, then set up custom position, you can add pieces and move any piece anywhere. just don't start the game.

A physical chessboard? What’s that?
