How to play offline on Android?

I have the chess.com app from the Google store but I can't accesses it when offline. Can this app be used offline? If not, please suggest one that will. Thanks.

I just tried it offline and I could play against the computer.

Thanks notmtwain. I just got the chess.com login screen.  But I went outside away from wifi, and it did work. Yay!

I would like to play chess against the computer off line while I am traveling by train. Can someone help me with this? 

I tried a couple of days ago by turning off all data, and as long as you were previously logged in, it should allow playing against the computer. Don't know how it reacts if you're not logged in already.
