how to resign from membership?

I'm not sure how to do this, could you please explain?

That will close his entire account. He might just be talking about premium (paid) membership.

If you want to cancel premium membership you can go to your account page and you will find a notice that will say:

Membership

You have a Platinum Membership, scheduled to renew on xxxxxx xx xxxx.
Thank you for supporting Chess.com! To cancel your Premium Membership, click here.

Just follow this link : http://www.chess.com/home/account.html . It's at the top.

this will stop you from billed.but you will not get your money back.you will still have yor memberhsip until it expires. to see when, visithttp://www.chess.com/home/account.html also, they have a cute little link to the cancel membership page there too.

chess.com put me up for automatic renewal, after my original membership had expired, and so i wrote them an email in the contact section. they kindly cancelled and refunded my membership :)

cant wait till next month when ill become either plat or diamond member, ima host this massive tourney for the Hip Hop Chess Group!!!
