How to tern off new animation before game start?

How to tern off new animation before game start? It not so bad, but not for bullet

You can disable under Settings > Board and Pieces  or use the Settings icon in Play to toggle the setting there

Disable "Enable Special Themes"

While looking at your Board UI, click the Settings wheel next to your opponent's clock. A menu will open with multiple tabs for submenu's. The default tab should be "Board". In this submenu, there is a toggle switch for the option "pre/post game board animation". Turn this off.

That's not for the animations. Pre/Post Game Board Animation is the setting.

i don't have that "Pre/Post Game Board Animation" setting but i sometimes get the animations (not every game). weird, useless and distracting feature btw

There was a bug and the setting is currently unavailable but should be back soon.

Settings gear wheel:
At the very bottom is BETA - it has the Pre/Post Game Board animation toggle switch. 
Turn it to off. Save. This removes the ticker tape and split screen devices etcetera. 
Use that for now?
 

It hadn't been released to everyone yet but was turned off yesterday until the bug with the disable toggle not being available to those with the feature is fixed.

I hate it. I cannot turn it off in bullet and it just takes 4 seconds out of my clock time. I'll probably switch to lichess soon, chess.com gets worse every single day.

That's the whole point. It's off, but I still see the animation. Cookies, cache, and localStorage are cleared. Chrome Version 125.0.6422.77 (Official Build) (x86_64) Mac OS 12.7

Try toggling it on, save, then off and save again.

Strangely enough, it works now. It was probably some backend error. Thanks.
