I'm getting lag only on chess.com

I have low ping and good speed and my other apps and games dont lag at all, but recently I am having lag on moves on this site.  I see the yellow boxes around the piece and the square its moving to, but the piece doesn't move for 2 or 3 seconds, makes blitz games really frustrating.  There also seems to be lag on some chat messages I've sent.

I cleared my cache and cookies and tried a different browser and it made no difference.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

There have been some problems with Chrome + Opera and Windows. If you have this combination try a different browser (Safari and Firefox are said to work fine) or another OS (that is what I always recommend).

Same problem. I wonder what percentage of hack/disconnect complaints would go away if people stopped mysteriously losing the ability to finish their game on chess.com even as their access to the internet, including the chess.com website, remains perfectly fine.

Chrome and Opera are the 2 I use so I will try Firefox, but there should be a fix, we have to put up with constant adverts and even audio adverts now playing while in game, which conspicuously started appearing the same time these lag issues did.

I'm getting lag connecting to all the cloudflare hosted garbage chess.com uses.

Our internet is 16 mb but I tether into it using my phone,  for wireless.  Everywhere else,  perfect connection.   Here:   I lose maybe 2 out 5 games just by connection lost and then reconnect and connection lost and reconnect.   That doesn't help my blitz rating in 5 minute when I end up with 2 minutes total to his five.   I never considered it a chess.com thing but maybe this site lags more than the usual?

Yeah, you read it wrong. It actually says "I'm getting laid everywhere except on chess.com."

the adverts ,hmm. im thinking youve picked up a virus somehow ,get ad blocker if your antivirus isnt up and running cos thats bound to annoy audio ads whilst trying to think

it happens the same to me. And I`m a Diamond member. It s really annoying and I do no undestand why Chess.com is not doing anything about it nor apolozaising.

Maybe the NoScript browser extension would help?

Yeah, it would help, but chess.com uses so much Javascript and the CloudFlare CDN to deliever it that NoScript ends up breaking this site completely.  Oh well.
