if you click on the tab from your chess.com page that says MY HOME and choose Friends, from there you should see an option that says Invite Friends. :)

Well, in live chess you simply select the tab marked friends and it will show you which friends are playing live chess at that moment. Then you can click a friend's name and challenge.

For online chess, you can send a challenge whenever you want and when you friend gets online they will be able to accept the challenge.

When I follow the steps to invite someone for Live Chess, I am led to a page that says Online Chess, which I don't want. Don't see any options to invite a friend for Live Chess, when they too are in Live Chess. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You can use Social > Friends and use one of the Invite options there
