IOS app freezing

I am not a mod nor have I ever used the IOS app or any version of the Chess.com App, but, I would like to state that it's most likely not from the IOS app. Because of Covid-19, a huge new group of people entered Chess.com. Before if the servers worked 24/7, now there working like 48/7 (I know that does not make sense but that's how it is). There are always also bugs when using apps, I'm pretty sure Chess.com does not have time for the IOS app currently, since they are extremely busy managing other things including improving servers. I would also reccomend contacting Mods and Staff, if people encourage it, I'm sure Chess.com can concentrate more on that subject of matter. In the meantime I recommend using a laptop for Chess.com till they get the issue fixed (Probably not till the server bug is fixed and multiple other bugs). I also recommend you bring this up more than once in the Chess.com Beta Club, as many Mods there can communicate these issues to the Staff.

I recommend you don't purchase a subscription if your using the app as the app is still pretty new, use a computer as that will make your subscription all the more worth it.

Most likely issue from your computer or your hardware. This rarley happens anymore, maybe the bug is returning,

Refresh your page, due to overloard on servers, the servers are acting up

As you are aware there is a seriously frustrating issue going on with the clocks during game play. Many of us are experiencing this, and are loosing games because of it. Browsing through the forums, I’ve not seen or heard from you any kind of reassurance that you are trying to resolve the issue. It’s now been three weeks, maybe more.
Membership costs are certainly not cheap, and a vast majority of the players have a diamond or star next to their name. Therefore I gather that many pay to play. Funding is certainly not an issue, especially after the uprise of new players who were influenced by The Queens Gambit.
I hope to see the bug fixed soon, as I hope to enter the Chess olympics and carry the torch. I must wave to Old Matey whilst smiling.

There is a bug in the iOS app. They hope to have it remedied very soon. They put out a new version several days ago but reportedly need another thing fixed.
Yes, this is correct. In fact, the fix for iOS just went into review by Apple. I'm hopeful it will be released to everyone today. This is the 2nd build we've released to address the same issue, and this one seems very solid. We've not been able to reproduce the issue with failed reconnections or frozen clocks internally with it at all, so far. Fingers x'ed for a speedy approval of version 3.9.16 (2). We regret the frustration with recent versions and thank you all very much for your patience.

I am cancelling my diamond membership, the app is unusable. Any other recommendations?

The developers have now resolved this issue and submitted an update in the AppStore that is at this very moment awaiting approval from Apple. As soon as it's approved on Apple's end, it will be available in the AppStore, so please keep an eye out for an update in the day or two that will resolve this freezing problem. My complaint was... Over the last week the chess.com app on iPad and iPhone 11 freezes in every game I play. Sometimes it unfreezes but often not and I’ve lost lots of games as a result and lots of points. Many many others have the same problem as evidenced in the support forum. Perhaps your servers can’t cope with increased traffic? Anyway, it’s infuriating that I spend a lot of money on my subscription every year and chess.com doesn’t even acknowledge the problem. Please tell me how to solve this problem!

Even worse now, before I had the freezing issue on my opponents clock, now just updated, and now I play my move, the white box shifts to the other players clock, yet my clock still counts down even though I’ve played. I then have to close the app, reload it and my move hasn’t taken place. Using iOS 14, 10/15 game and I have confirm each move setting on.
