iPhone freeze

I've been using the chess.com app on my iPhone, but recently it just froze on my game list screen and will not let me select or go to any other part of the application.  I still get notifications everytime other players make moves, but when I re-enter the app I'm still stuck in refreshing the same gamelist screen.

How do I fix this?  Should I delete the app and re-install it?

For me I have a bug where I can't move my pieces so I press tournaments under online and play on the browser

I can't even press anything.  I have this weird looking grayish-black circle around my screen and it's just constantly stuck refreshing on the game's list page.

Are you on wifi ? 3g? 4g? or something else?

Before trying to un-install/re-install, come out of the app, go into your browser settings and clear the cache on it. The log back into the app and try again.

Wifi, & 3G.  It didn't work, so I resorted to deleting the program and re-installing.  I'm guessing this won't be the first bug I run into.  I'll re-post when more appear.

The same thing happened to me. I deleted the app and reinstalled and this bug went away. However I have had other problems with the app on iPhone, specifically with the videos

We are working on the issues reported. Please bear in mind that after a fix has been built, we then have to fully test it, get any bugs we find fixed, then retest before its submitted to Apple/iTunes for release.  We are trying to get these fixes done for you all as soon as we can though, sorry its not sooner :(

Yea I have the same problem on my 3G phone too, and I have good internet connection when using other online apps. Also, I have the problem with the video

Unfortunately audio but no video is actually normal for when a member is on a bad connection or the connection isn't strong at the time of viewing the videos -

Are you able to send me a  screenshot of what you're seeing please?

This just started happening to me, but... audio works fine, video doesn't load.   I just get a black screen.   I don't think this is a problem w/ my connection.   I'm on wifi and youtube and other videos load right up.   After reading that it could be a connection problem i started looking at my download speeds, and they are 400kb/s+.   I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling and deleting the browser cache. 

This is important to me to fix because i am a subscriber exclusively for the iphone videos and tactics.

Thanks for that tip, did not realise you could do that. My iPhone app works fine, but now I can view the same play screen as on the computer.

First, you can force restart iPhone . If it is the specific app freezing, try to delete and reinstall the app. If these do not work, there is OS repair tool like tenoshare, Joyoshare UltFix or TunesKit you can use to fix the issue.

Same issue on my iPhone 11. TunesKit iOS System Recovery helps me out to restore my phone
