You can invite a friend to join Chess.com and if they buy a membership, you'll also get a membership (1 week i think). You can also play in giveaway tournaments or use the free one week trial

If i use 1 week trial it asks for my credt card stuff, so it isnt free.

It's a trial but automatically subscribes if not cancelled before 7 days have elapsed. If they didn't ask for that, people could get unlimited trials on new accounts.

I got membership free?
I checked my email it says I got free membership for 1 month from staff
I asked for the trial and he just gave me for month
