That's not possible anymore for vs Computer. If you're doing the Practice option (games with Practice vs Computer) you should be able to switch. However, you can't when you start with a bot directly.

I have been using this app for about three years with very little problem. However, these past five days have been crazy. I keep getting the messages, " taking longer than usual to connect", or, " taking longer than usual to find a pairing" or, " you have disconnecte, please refresh". Then. I may be told that I am already palying a game when I am not! Then, when I eventually get to play a game, despite never having neither problems with the internet nor a high lag, I am suddenly getting a high lag and been completely disconnected during a game and losing because I have allegedly, abandoned the game ! Thsi is really frustrating because there have never been so many problems!

I had a very frustrating week waiting for a pairing when there are supposed to be a hundred million members (as was reported on Dec. 16 2022) and yet, it takes forever to find a pairing! It has also been taking a long time to connect and once a game can finally begin, despite my excellent internet connection and having always had a low lag, I suddenly have a high lag and am then completely disconnected and in formed that my opponent has won because I have allegedly abandoned the game. I have NEVER abandoned a game of chess! Yesterday afternoon, all was working just fine and am thinking that all is now okay but no, today we are back to the same old crap. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!

What time control is your game seek? The standard controls are almost always super quick, but if you've got a custom game seek, it's much less likely to find a match. It's why the default time controls are predominantly the shorter ones.

Once again. Despite my excellent internet connection and low lag, I suddenly went " offline" and lost due to so called abandonmet! I have had about three years of trouble free playing so, WHY NOW! I apologise for my daily complaints but, I don't know what else to do other than, to keep on complaining in the hope that someone will sort out this damn mess!!

10| 0 is pretty normal so you shouldn’t have too many problems finding games at that time control - frankly it sounds like your internet service provider is having some serious issues - do you play any other online games like Fortnite? It’s not as noticeable with streaming apps like YouTube or Spotify

About 30 seconds after I log into Chess.com, I get a notice from my anti-virus the site is trying to connect to rdmc.homedepot.com. The anti-virus blocks the attempts. This happens every single time I log on. Is it an issue with the site or an issue with my AV?

You have a basic account so it's loading ad code. Most likely related to that.

Today began okay. Just like old times! I played two games back to back and I thought, "wow, this is great! The problem must be fixed!" But, no, we are once again, back to taking forever to find a pairing and when I am paired up wiht an opponent, I find that I am offline having NEVER had a problme with neither my connection nor, my lag!

Now, a new thing! After waiting and waiting for a pairing, I am eventually paired up with what appears to be an opponent, no name, no flag NOTHING! Nothing happening so, I click "play" and the whole cycle begins again! Please, can someone help!!

Yesterday, Everything was working like a dream! Just like th old days, going from game to game. Today, same old crap! ""searching" "please wait. taking longer than usual to connect" . Then, going from an excellent internet connection, very low lag to "member offline" Nad losing the game to, "game abandoned". I HAVE NEVER EVER DELIBERATLEY ABANDONED A GAME!

Now the latest news. The system is repeatedly telling me that I am already palying a game when I am not! What must I do to play a game on this app? Must I sell my soul?

You need to fix it when you are in a match . And the person your playing waits till like 3 seconds left . To move after sitting for 7 min . Then wins the game .

Why is there a problem with finding a pairing? I play 10 minute games. Also, When it stops searching for a pairing, I click the play icon again only to be told that I am "currently playing" when I am not!
