I have intermitent problems with my Internet connection, as well as with my computer's speed. Recently, I have decided to play Live Chess. Yesterday I was able to play five games with no problem.
However, today I tried playing one, after accepting someone else's seek. I eventually lost on time, due to intermitent and prolonged disconnections. My lag indicator remained constantly red throughout the whole game (meaning connection was bad and lag was high). Nevertheless, if I'm not wrong, the same indicator on the top of the page, next to my name, before I had started playing, had been coloured green, saying "Excellent connection" (very low lag)—an indication which turned out not to be true as soon as I started the game.
Then I tried playing another game; however, this time, I made a seek. Before I did so, the aforementioned indicator kept saying my connection was excellent. But after I had made the seek, I hovered over the orange circle on the seek graph, and I saw that my name there was accompanied by a red-coloured bar, indicating bad connection and high lag (meanwhile, though, the indicator on the top of the page stayed green). As soon as I noticed it, I cancelled my seek—or, at least, so I tried; indeed, apparently, I tried to cancel it too late, and the game started. Trying to avoid an unpleasant fate such as that of the previous game, I aborted it, which is something I generally dislike to do.
Now, whenever I access Live Chess, my lag indicator on top of the page always shows up invariably coloured green. But I am afraid that my connection is actually bad, and hence I am afraid of actually starting a game and risking having to abort, or—worse—losing on time.
Hence, my question is this: Can I know exactly how good my connection is (and hence how likely I am to get disconnected) before I start playing? (This presumes not counting that faulty indicator on top of the page, which is extremely deceiving.)
Hello, guys!

Thank you in advance for your answers!
