Happened to me too. I was about to win and the game aborted. I'm quite sure chess.com didn't crash but my opponent is a diamond member. So maybe that's the reason?

The server had a scheduled restart around the time you posted, so that's why the game was aborted.

This happened to me too. I was in a winning position and if I had won it would have been my best win against a highest-rated opponent ever.
No server warning. It just happened *boom* Game Over - Aborted.
How did you all get links to your games? When I go to the list of my games I can't see my aborted game - it is as though it never happened.
Even if I can't get rating points, I would still like to have the game for study and analysis.
the links don't work anymore...chess.com pretending it never happened lol

There was a server restart. When that happens, all ongoing games are aborted and the games are not written to the database.

Was there any warning of this server restart? I didn't see one. Where can we see warnings of server restarts?

There is a red banner on the website leading up to a restart. Not sure how it's handled by the apps
