I apologize in advance, as all the following may be completely wrong...
BUT....
I'm facing an issue with the chat function: I have been searching the forum for some time now, but I couldn't find anything relevant except some people with the same issue.
In some cases people seems unable to chat whatever they do.
What I mean is that:
- The setting are correct (Live chess / alert / game chat: everybody)
- As they are new players, no one "blacklisted" them from chatting with them.
- Account are verified. <- That's where the issue may be.
I noticed that some players were reporting that they had an issue with the mail they have been using during registration. Meaning that they had to change it during the process.
(That was my case as well...)
To be clear:
1) Registration using "mail-1@stuff.com".
As they are unable to access this mail for any reason, they never received the first "activate my account link".
2) Change the mail to "mail-2@stuff.com".
They received the second "activate my account link". followed it and enabled the account.
But even after 10 games still can't chat.
My assumption is that this way to activate an account may trigger some kind of bug and don't really unlock the chat function.

Maybe I'm just mindfK**ing myself and missed the obvious way to fix this.. So, if you think this is the case, please let me know how I can fix this !!!
