Membership not activating

Anyone else recently pay for a year subscription, have the money taken from your account and not have access to Members features for a few days? Very frustrated thought it would be instant.

Purchases through the apps require some manual intervention by staff. If you don't see it applied by mid-week, you might open a ticket with support.

 

If it was through the website, there may have been an issue so a ticket is probably best.

I didn't do it through the app I did it on my computer on google chrome. I have done it before and it was instant... Opened a ticket and it's been about 15 hours and no response.

Just edited my post before seeing your reply. Regarding support, there is some weekend staff, most of them work weekdays I think.

Right so nothing I can do on my end but wait more... Was looking forward to a good weekend of chess hahaha oh well. Thanks for that.

Unfortunately I have the same problem as you.... bought my subscription yesterday and still waiting with no communication...

Yup been about 47 hours for me now. Pretty unacceptable.

It's a website.... It's not like they shut up shop to go to church on Sunday. I understand the support team is off on holiday but I just don't understand why they would need human confirmation that they have my money.

What's weirder is that I'm still left in the dark in regards to where my money is. Not in my bank and my membership still hasn't been activated. It's only been 4 days so maybe I should give it a fortnight??

Me too, I paid for the gold membership 2 days ago, money are taken from my account, opened a ticket, nobody answers. Same scenario.

They'll get back to you. 2 days was the start of the weekend and if you upgraded through the app, there are manual steps that have to be taken to apply it to an account. Also, if the account on the store it was purchased through doesn't match the account on the site, that can cause additional delays.

If you've paid for a membership It will be added to your account. I assure you that however, it takes a few days (a day or 2) to get it added as the team manually inspects these.

I also subscribed yesterday but it does not reflect in my account,haven got membership but money is deducted and google play directs to chess.com app and app is directing to google play,its a loop

Same here, I paid but still cannot access premium features, so far almost 24hs since I paid. My first time ever that I pay for a subscription and it is not activated immediately. For sure my period will be extended...

How did you purchase? If it was through one of the apps, is the app store tied to a different email address than what's on your account? If so, it may have applied to that email.

You may need to contact support.
