More info on revamped puzzle system?

It's currently only on the Android app, for some members, an no information has been released on it yet. I think it's something similar to leagues for games but doesn't really change things beyond having puzzle tiers.

Testing it on my phone today I found an interesting thing. You are expected to start out in this new system as a completely new player and therefore you are walked through one easy puzzle and get points for this puzzle. However, if you alredy have a really high rating you will be walked through a really hard puzzle.

This essentially means that no matter your rating you can get + ~15 or more for free. While this makes no difference for begginers just starting out as they fluctuate by lots of points anyway, it actually makes a difference to those really close to breaking their record.

If you are struggling to break your puzzles record and haven't played with this new system yet you now only need to get ~15 points below your record and then use the new system and get walked through a puzzle.

I would expect this means a very slight increase in the amount of puzzle highscores achieved for some time and then a time with a very slight decrease. (If this is big enough of a factor to overpower other factors and noise)

Just some thoughts.

What are the next tiers besides wood and what happens at the top?

when its only in a specific platform

please understand that there are people who have no idea about this and will check puzzles with no change

also i imagine people will try to correlate leagues with whatever this is

I'm not 100% positive, but I think the tiers may be the same as Leagues. Stone is the second one and Legend is the last.

I don't believe anything happens when you finish the final tier, at this point.

It has nothing to do with leagues, there is no leaderboard

I mean the levels are the same: wood, stone, etc. That's how it's similar. It will also show your friends on the pathe if you have any on the same tier as you.

The puzzles are the same as in the regular option. Just the tiers ave different designs when you ldo up each step.

It helps you to work on your skills if you have a goal.

I noticed the upgrade on Android, but wondered why desktop didn't change. I like how gamified the Android version feels. It's a welcome change up from playing desktop puzzles.

I think the plan is to eventually bring it to the website.

the problom that i found is that i dont get awards on those puzzles, i also found that i have diffirent elos on them, butttttttttttt if i do my daily puzzles on the "wood" its locked even in the normal puzzles

Maybe try to update the app? This sorted out some glitches for me

sidenote: i couldn't get the "3D glasses" award- it can probebly help me with that too

nope, and the 3D glasses award doesnt work on my computer too
