It certainly is. Just use a toggle button. With the toggle on and touches draw arrows/highlights etc. With it off, things function as normal. Totally doable.
I would have loved a new feature like this, but a feature like this does not exist so far. I moved to the computer because there is no feature like this on IOS. I would like more colours for the arrows though.

It should be left click on the board with the MOUSE (can't somehow left click on the pad), and then alt, ctrl, and shift (maybe different for you) to change colours.

The feature is mostly designed for streaming and content creators. The majority of those that do that are going to be on a full browser.
The best way to get suggestions to staff, is using the Help > Make a Suggestion option in the menu on the website.
It would be wonderful if this option were available for mobile. Perhaps instead of dragging pieces to move them on the board, dragging could draw arrows. To move a piece, one might simply click on the desired square. Additionally, it would be beneficial if arrows were available when connecting a mouse to a phone or tablet.

Yes, you can draw arrows on mobile with a connected keyboard just hold down ‘a’ or ‘shift a’ or ‘option a’ and drag on the screen with your finger or click if you want to highlight a square.
Why only computer ged the option to draw arrow? We want arrows to mobile

Add like a toggle draw mode or something where you can click on a square to highlight and drag to draw an arrow. Easy.
As I have mentioned above, I am no longer on mobile, but this is a long awaited feature which would be a great addition to the site. Even adding the apple pen as something that can do this could be an amazing feature.
