my opponent made an illegal move

Ok, see my opponent, just after we began playing, aborted the game but i couldn't work out why. I noticed that my queen had been moved to the "taken pieces" section even tho we'd only played 2 moves- then looking at the board, i saw that hs pawn was in my queen's spot- but just as a pawn- it hadn't been promoted. Also, u know how in a live game after the game is over u cant make anymore moves (obviously)? Well i could- i could move my pieces anywhere (but not my opponents). I'm just a bit confused and was wondering if anyone had an idea what was going on.

Which game on your profile was it?

Actually, being able to move pieces after a live chess game is over is normal. You can make all sorts of illegal move, it's like with a real chess board at a club: when you're not in a game, you're free to play Ke1xe8.

However, an illegal move in game is indeed a bug-I hope support sees this.

Basilieus: As an aborted game, it won't show up in his archive.

This is actually the rarely invoked en passant 2.0 move, in which your pawn can "pass by" all of your opponants' pieces and take a piece of your choice. Like regular en passant, it is only allowed in certain specific conditions, such as when your opponant is very drunk or not paying much attention.
