We wouldn't want the non-paying members to do anything to help the staff.     Heaven Forbid!

Internet Explorer 6 on Windows 98 SE doesn't work either, but I have Windows 7 at the cafe, so thats ok.

Who knows? I have Mac 10.4.11 and as many sites have upgraded have found it is impossible to upgrade browsers, firefox, safari, opera, camino, omniweb... I can't even get yahoo at all so can't check mail. Really sucks. I love this computer, but probably will have to get a new one if these issues continue. Mind you, have WIndows Vista in the office and can't access yahoo in any browser there either. Yea, live chess just shows page loading forever. Can't play live chess on firefox because nothing happens when you click, and there is no version of Chrome that works on this 'old' computer. They just build them so you are forced to buy a new one after a few years.

Not sure if you realize but without the non paying members this site wouldn't even exist, or at the very least, exist to the extent we all enjoy or used to enjoy before the current troubles. And i would consider paying for the site if it worked.

You mentioned in a previous post, your not a computer guy. Neither am I but, my local tech, tells me there is a smorgasborg of computer viruses out there today. We have both calmed down. The timing sucked. 2 problems, the loading, and the report send button went down together. People were frustrated, because not only could they not play; they couldn't communicate that to staff. It was only when staff said, "why is it so quiet". They will find that plane, and staff will get you back on line. Try again, this time tomorrow.  Thankx.

It still doesn´t work. I can´t use a different browser and I don´t know whether I have an ad blocker, because I don´t have the administrator rights on this computer.  I tried the hard refresh, I tried to delete temp. Internet files, cookies, history.

Everybody please clear your cache, log out from chess.com and log in again and retry Live Chess. If that still doesn't work, please check for JavaScript errors in your browser console and email me those directly: piotr at chess.com. Let's figure it out!

Cheers

Same problem here! It worked until a couple of days ago. During the last days it is stucked at 'loading'. I use Ipad2 and Safari. I've tried all above remedy-tips without success. Still not working... :(

jaclyn

@notsogm, Have you tried the Chess.com app (available in the app store) to see if you can connect that way?

Also, just as a tip to everyone, please make sure that you're not accessing live chess using a bookmark or saved link.

piotr

Please clear your browser cache and retry now. Some fixes installed!

I believe it's all working now for those Mac users using Safari who couldn't log on all week. I had the same problem on one system, but now can. When I couldn't log in with Safari, I downloaded Firefox but that didn't work either. Now Safari works, but Firefox still doesn't work, which doesn't bother me, as I prefer Safari anyway.

I sent staff a copy of the chessbase live code page from my system, and I believe they then were able to see where the issue was with the code and have rectified it.

hi same problem with me . but i found a solution. plz clear your histroy . delete temp file (%temp%). use window diskclean utitlity to clean temp file and othe dump file.   and finaly open google chrome. press CTRL+H it open your history then  press CTRL+SHIFT+N  . it show ----You've gone incognito. Pages you view in incognito tabs won't stick around in your browser's history, cookie store, or search history after you've closed all of your incognito tabs. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be kept.

then one chess.com and try login after that try login in live chess if it show loading then refrsh the page may it work for you too good luck

Same problem with me.  I've tried all the advise.  Chrome, FF, IE don't work.  Java is updated.  Browser cleared.

This might be a complete coincidence, but I used to have loading problems. I installed NoScript for Firefox, and no longer have loading probs. (You only need to activate the chess.com and chesscomfiles.com scripts to log in.) It might be worth trying.
