i have been trying to castle since move 16. somehow, cc will not allow me to do so. if you go through the game, you will see i have not moved either piece, and i'm not attempting to castle out of, through, or into check.

this looks pretty buggy to me. anyone else having this issue?

Do you move the king on top of the rook to bring about castling?

It worked for me.

I guess I would report a bug.

so, since my opponent has played bc5, i can castle. extremely odd.

notmark, your analysis shows the castle was possible previously-on your end.

on mine it was not, and i wonder if this was a temporary bug (would like to hear from staff on this).

or, if other members experienced this glitch? prior to posting this as a topic i went through the analysis feature quite a bit to make sure it wasn't some strange issue/mistake on my end. also, going through the h&s topics showed no mention of this previously.

gf3, what you say makes no sense. stop spamming.

since you're so damn smart, is there any way you can explain why the castle was not allowed?

can you explain the obscure rule i've missed with your saying (since deleted by you) of how the knight moves?

do you have anything of substance to add?

'cause, if you continue with your nonsense, i'll be forced to block your asinine posts.

I have no idea if this is related, but in that little analysis board posted above, both castles occur with king already on g square, rook on h square, and all that happens is rook hops over king from h to f! Bizarre!

I have been facing the same issue recently. I can not castle on either side, instead my king can move two squares in one of the directions (on the king side). It seems to be a bug. What to do in this situation?

If you're trying to click the king and then the rook, that will only castle now on 960. That feature was removed in standard Chess as there were too many accidental castles. Now you click the king and then the destination square. Or drag the king to the destination.
