The message pops up when you look at pages that have a mixture of secure and unsecure content. It is possible that some of the ad content on chess.com pages, which is served by third parties (i.e., not by chess.com) is not secure. I imagine that some of the content in pages from the V2 version of the site is also not secure. Since V2 is going away, it will not be fixed.
