opponent quitting without resigning

hello,

lekicars

sometimes I challenge non honest players who stay connected to the game but don't play anymore, and they don't resign. therefore after the 5 first moves which took less than 2 minutes, I have to wait the 28 minutes left on the clock before challenging someone else, or resign myself the party and lose points. is there something I can do when facing such situations ? thank you for your attention

lekicars

sometimes I play 30 minutes games and sometimes I play 10 minutes games, but it doesn't solve the problem.

try hitting Ctrl+f5 to trigger the Fair Play Engine that will abort the game if they're stalling.

I hate moment when opponent quits

I can understand how annoying it must be in a 30-minute game, which is why I never play longer than 15|10 at live chess.  Originally this was also motivaged by unreliablity of my Internet connections: to lose 20 minutes invested in a game is annoying, to lose much more is really annoying.

Whilst waiting you can try the puzzle of the day on chess.com

the fair play engine was the thing I was looking for. but can you use it on android ? because usually I play chess from my smartphone

lekicars

the puzzle of the day is as good as any other thing you can do for waiting if you really want to win points for the game you are supposed to have won. but what I really hate is knowing that my opponent is an unfair player, and I want to punish this kind o f behaviour when I meet one concerning the points you might win or lose : to me they are not important at all. I'm a beginner rated less than 1300, if I resign a game I should have won It will only cost me 20 points in my rating. if I want to be rated higher than 1500 or more, I simply need to learn playing better. a single play doesn't really affect my rating

Well, since you're a premium member, you can enable playing multiple games at once. So if someone stops playing, you can start another game.
