order subscription I was charged and it’s not working!!

I ordered the platinum subscription 30 hours ago and I was immediately charged but It won’t let me do puzzles or lessons. It keeps saying sign up for the free trial! I have not heard back from chess.com yet.

Like three months ago I did their free trial and I canceled it at the end of the week, and I don’t know if that has created some sort glitch. But regardless iTunes charged me the $53 and I am not getting the platinum membership benefits!

iTunes is the problem.  Normally when you pay with a credit card, it's an automatic transaction,  iTunes requires some kind of manual input from chess.com and meantime iTunes charges you immediately.  And of course Support is getting hammered by requests from all the new members.  Sucks I know, but show some patience and they will eventually take care of you.

I would guess that itunes doesn't check to see if you have already done a free trial but chess.com does.

So you are saying chess.com has to activate the puzzles and lessons after I purchase it? because I don’t want the free trial I just want the subscription. And I had paid for the subscription.

That is my understanding based on what a senior moderator wrote in answer to an earlier question by someone else.  I know it hasn't kicked in yet or you would have a "platinum thingy" next to your name.   And I read somewhere else that more staff have been hired but training takes time.  I'm pretty sure though that your subscription won't officially start until it's activated so the missing days will get added on at the end.  Hope that helps....

I'm now having this same issue, did you find a way to resolve it?

If you purchased through one of the apps, it requires some intervention of staff. If you haven't had the membership applied by mid-week, you should open a ticket with support.

Thank you so much for your response!  I actually ordered through the site itself, but I will open a ticket with support.

You could also check your payment method and verify it went through correctly.

True.  It did clear on my debit card, so I imagine it did?  Either way, I've submitted a ticket through the support panel so hopefully, I can resolve this soon.  I miss my saved analysis! 😭

It doesn't show you have a premium membership at all. If you purchased through one of the apps, it may take a little time to apply.
