others not showing as online

I’ve been playing chess a lot more than usual lately and typically use the app for that, although I’m back and forth from PC to mobile throughout the day. Just in the last 2 days on mobile (iPhone) it no longer shows the players online. I was sitting in our daily game and he was making the moves as I watched, so I assumed he was logged in through some unconventional means. But when I checked for the same issue on my PC the player had the green icon next to his name so I knew he was online…obviously he was…any fixes for this? I mean it isn’t a huge deal but I do enjoy knowing when my opponents are online as I’ll keep those games on screen.

This has always been an oddball on this site; sometimes it shows that players were last online four hours ago when I am reading a comment by them from twenty minutes ago.  I don't think there is an obvious fix for this; it has been this way for quite awhile.  It is probably about 80 percent reliable; certainly not perfect.

I think the last online time is logon time rather than logoff.

I agree. The online indicator needs to be put back on against the icons for players in your current game list. This is currently missing in the iphone app. Most unhelpful.
