Pawns taking my pawn illegally, is it a glitch?

I keep having a recurring problem when I play a game. Probably about 10 times now I have castled and when I move the pawn in front of the rook 2 places the opponent makes an impossible move and takes my pawn even though my pawn has passed their pawn. I don’t know if it is a glitch in the app or opponents blatantly finding a way to cheat.

This is called en passant and is a completely legal move in chess. This official Chess.com article will explain everything and give some examples: https://www.chess.com/terms/en-passant

On another note, I discovered a glitch where you can play invalid positions by backing out of the "Set Up Position" menu after creating one. If I remember correctly, I mentioned it once, but it still has yet to be patched; I tested it about an hour ago.
