PGN Computer Analysis

I'm a little embarassed by this, but I can't seem to find a place where I can access computer analysis to upload a game I played OTB; I always just see this demo where a pgn folder is listed but it's not a link or anything.  What am I doing wrong?

You mean get chess.com to analyse a game you played OTB? I don't think you can.

kohai

You can only get analysis done on games played on the site.

For this, you need to go to either your online games history or your live chess games history to find a game you want the analysis done for.

Your online games are shown on the bottom of your current online games page

http://www.chess.com/echess/myhome.html

Your live chess games are shown on the bottom of the page where you go to enter live chess.
http://www.chess.com/livechess/myhome.html

Click "view" next to the game you want analysis done on, then the game opens. Look to the right, above the small notations box and it says "Games Analysis". Click on that.

Once it says "processing" you can then leave that page. Once the games analysis is done, it will be sent to your inbox emails.

If you have the pgn from the otb game, you can use the chessboard icon above and enter the game for analysis by the members in the "Games Analysis" section in the forums.

As a cheat around this, couldn't one easily just create a second account (via a second e-mail), engage in an unrated game with himself, and then do an analysis?

kohai

No and certainly not advisable.

Oh ok I see the pgn thing just lets you download a pgn.  I swear I'm going to burn this laptop out, but I'll be getting a new one soon anyway
