play practice games with newbie friend

Is there a way with chess.com to play a practice game against a live friend where moves (perhaps not to good) can be reversed and then the game can be continued by making a different (perhaps better) move? I’m wanting to do this to help my grandson learn the game (I could do this if we were face-to-face but unfortunately he is 200 miles away). If not available on chess.com (and/or its phone apps) could you recommend something. Neither of us have a upgraded membership but would thus be possible if we did upgrade? Thank you
