Playing against computer doesn't work

I came back to Chess after a hiatus. Sadly I was still blundering too much.. So I wanted to play against the computer.

So I see the levels are replaced by rated ai personalities.. that seems fun.. but after I make the opening move 1 d4... nothing happens... I click on all the buttons but the computer doesnt make any moves...

What browser?

Within the chess app. On Android.

I just tried and it worked. You might try clearing your app cache.

I deleted the app and reinstalled it. It then worked.. but once I moved it from system memory to the sd card I stopped working again... I'll email support now I know what the actual issue is.

Having the same issue on android. It works in the browser.

I've been looking for an answer for this for a couple of weeks now. The app worked yesterday and this morning it didn't. The only thing that changed was that I moved apps to the SD card between sessions. So, I tried moving it back to the phone and it worked like a charm. 

Moral of the story, the app does not play nice with SD cards. Leave it on the phone where it is happy.

Same here. I installed the App in a Xiaomi phone a month ago and I could not play against the computer yet.... :[]

This tidbit of knowledge helped clear up a major frustration for this novice user. Thank you to ALL who shared it, and thanks to Google for their search engine allowed me to source the problem I was having with my Android device. I could not find any related info doing a direct search in support on the Chess.com site. However, searching "computer opponent won't move" on Google literally saved the day!!! I moved the app back to internal memory and VOILÀ, the computer opponent FINALLY started playing. Fingers crossed that support will figure out a workaround soon as I for one prefer to use external memory whenever possible since internal memory of 64 Gb sure goes quickly when you literally use your device in lieu of a computer ALL THE TIME.

for one week, the Play agianst coputer stopped to work, now, I go and find another site, this is 

stupid !

I tried chess 960 against the bot and now it won't make any moves I'm on browser and it is not working
