Playing as Guest: how do I stop seeing the exact same opponent over and over again?

I saw the same 1200-rated player in Beginner more than 10 times.  Each time I abort the game, then press "new 10 minute game," only to get the same overrated "beginner" again, and again, and again.  Each time abort and start over, only to get the same player. It was like the movie, Groundhog Day.

Is the "new 10 minute game" button acting like a rematch button?  How to get a new opponent when playing as a Guest?

Play with an account instead of guest? There's a chance there wasn't a better match so it kept pairing you with the same person looking for a game.

I see.  Well, I do play with an account sometimes but not a whole lot.  Guest mode allows me to try out new things more experienced players here have taught me, but I haven't mastered yet.
