Got another one now running down clock from 5-8 minutes left at M1 endgame corner checkmate.
Problems
Just experienced another nuisance which I'd forgotten about until reminded now in a game. Apponenents who offer a draw when down material or in a lost position.
Mostly I wonder if I'm the only person who wants to win fair and square by playing my best and being tested. What's the point in cheating, winning easily, winning on time having played badly resulting in a poor position, asking for an unearned draw, or denying an earned draw. None of these scenarios are satisfying.
Hi Admin, would be grateful for a reply or else a way to contact/discuss offline. Today also ridiculous with the number of cheaters and or sandbaggers. Also moves misbehaving too. I don't mind the hard games but it doesn't allow me to assess my true level and when I play someone who actually is in the 500-650 elo range it's unfair on them too. One minute I have someone with a planned complex opening and the next someone playing like a beginner. Is this a big problem throughout the elo ranges or just something that exists at the lower levels? Lichess seems much more consistent. I have a much higher elo on their with a new account too. The opponents in the 1500 range are better than the duds on chess.com but not as good as the sandbaggers and or cheaters, and this is at the 600-700 range.
I'm still having regular and also less frequent issues that affect enjoyment.
1. 50%+ sandbaggers and or cheaters at the low elo levels.
2. 30%+- very week in the 600-700 range.
3. 20%+- not completing the game due to leaving the tab open but refusing to play or closing it early. Sometimes in the first few moves, other times at M1, and in-between. Today waited 7 and a half minutes in one game at M1 in an end game, 2 queens ladder checkmate.
4. 90%+ playing 10 minute game as if it is an 2 minute game when those options are available.
5. Not correctly recognizing a move. Last game instead of castling moved the king one square thus ruining the game. This has happened maybe 10-15 times to me.
