Is there anyway of playing moves with the PS4 controller on the PS4 browser when playing live games? Works fine on Lichess.
just can’t pick the pieces up and so game is aborted.
I don't believe that is a supported method of playing on site.
The site directly supports full browsers and mobile browsers. Chrome and Firefox are the suggested browsers to use, and Chromium based browsers should work well. Other major browsers should work for most things, but there may be issues, depending on the standards the browser supports and how they are implemented.
As you've found, you're not able to play on the PS4 browser. You can open a ticket with support, but I'm pretty certain that the site doesn't support that browser, doesn't test compatibility with it, and likely won't target fixes to it unless a bug also impacts another major browser release. Not all browsers support the same features and standards.
