Puzzles

Hey everyone,

I've done a puzzle everyday for a few years now, I've  watched my rating grow and I'd like to continue, but for some reason when I click on the home page puzzle icon it brings me to another type of puzzle where my rating seemed to start again and they give me a verbal hint before the puzzles. I can't seem to locate my old puzzle game. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

There is a new Puzzle trainer released i think yesterday. I lost almost 200 rating points.

It is ALOT harder. Most Puzzles have a solve rate of less than 40%.

I dont mind though. I think they art trying to improve the Tactics trainer and it looks like they succeeded IMO. Although I think you can use the old one still, think they said something like that when I first tried it. Dont remember how. But the fact it is harder just means they put some effort in selecting different and harder puzzles. Just spend more time on each in your head. Maybe it is more pedagogic like this, and you learn more.

Your rating is unchanged, you just dont see it while puzzling. But puzzle rating just measures patience, not skill

The puzzle selection algorithm is the exact same as the original puzzle system.

If you click the settings icon on the feature you can disable hints and configure it to show rating changes

If you don't like the feature at all, you can toggle Collect Puzzle Points off to get the old interface
