I'd say it's a technical glitch, when I move the mouse cursor over your nick name, on the window that appears, I see the "man created god" image as your avatar, but not on your homepage. Personally I don't see anything that needs to be banned in that picture.
Wait for a while for a staff to see this thread, if they don't, try to contact them using the Help & Support link below every chess com page.
I also feel it should be a technical glitch. The opinion "Man Created God" has nothing to do with any religion anyways. It's a belief that cuts across all religions.
The TOS only objects to having political and religous discussions in public forum - and even that is not enforced.
I suddenly found that the image linked to "My Picture" is not there any more. Is it a technical glitch or something targetted to my image which read "Man Created God"? I have been using that image for almost one year and I also notice many similar images used for "My Picture". In fact a member's picture which said "Jesus Is King" or something similar that I saw about an year back had inspired me to have my picure say "Man Created God".
It's so sad that many references to God in this day and age get either mocked or erased - and I don't mean just here at chess.com.

Staff informed that image was removed in error by a moderator. Some members have informed me that they can again see the avatar. Strangely, I can't!
Now the problem is the avatar file that I had created about an year back and was so sure that I would be able to find in my laptop, can't be located. So I will have to create it again for uploading. Apparently restoring is not possible - but that raises the questions - how come some members have started seeing it again (they confirmed that they couldn't for some time - so it's not a local cache issue).
It's over now. A friend (thank you Shukla_AK42) sent me the image file and I have uploaded it back. To chess.com I would say "Much impressed by your quick action and the email you sent. Thanks and go easy on the new mod. We all make mistakes."

I cant agree more with you on "Man Created God". In the begining it was all Divine and every thing was absolute. Till the day man ate that fatefull Apple. Then he slowly and stedily acquired Evil qualities and God became more and more visible just as you can see darkness only when light is there. So Man created God is a way of saying he made God visible.
