I noticed that everything here has some sort or ratings (even tactics and strategy) which is a wonderful thing as everything gets adapted to your progressing strength and motivates you to think about the correct thing every single time and not just try randomly whenever you don't feel in the mood to guess too hard...
The only part where I did not find that (and where I would have expected it the most as other chess apps are based on it) is a rating system when playing against the computer.
I start to hate that "back" button as I constantly catch myself of using it after a blunder, which leads to less thinking in advance and "trying moves out" sometimes (in other chess apps I had the option of deactivating the back button so that each blunder lost the game and forced me to think harder in advance).
And other apps punished my rating whenever I lost a game or restarted a new one in between after a blunder... here I can loose as many games against the computer and blunder often without consequences...
The non-rated mode is still ok for quick games to distract myself in between without having to think too hard, but I really miss that option of a rated mode against the computer that I had in other apps on my old phone.
They never offered ratings in the Play Versus Computer 1-10 level games. Until recently, you could play rated games against a set of computers- Computer-Easy, Medium, Hard and Impossible.
However, they dropped that option recently because people were playing hundreds of games against them to boost their ratings.
