(Correction for title)
I thought that you may have sent the message to @ace569er
I remember him because he was going through a difficult period in his life.
I thought that he may still have the message in his inbox and checked his account.
His last logon was about a year ago and his last post on his last topic was in Mar 2016.
He also vanished so it is very unlikely that you can recover the message from him, sorry.
Hi,
I do remember you vaguely.
No, I wasn't referring to the exchanges I had with Erik Mas (ace569er); no matter how puerilely annoying he was, I couldn't be bothered to revive my conversations with him. After a while, he just got tiring. XD But, no matter.
Actually, I tried something which I wonder why I didnt think of to begin with. I contacted the correspondent in question, who's still an active and well-respected chess variant forum member; even if my sent messages are gone at my end doesn't mean they aren't there as received messages on the receiving person's end. Thankfully, he hasn't gotten rid of our old conversations, which is very good for me.
He retrieved me the information I was searching for. All is very well. =)

By the way, the edit feature allows you only to edit the text; not the title. I've used it for years now. Haha
Good to know that you sorted out your wee problem.
I created a topic today and then changed the title of the topic today, I changed the title on all of my topics.
The original title is used for the web page address and never changes, but the actual title on the topic can be changed as I have already explained.
I've searched left and right, top and bottom, around the "New Topic" button. There is no "Edit forum Topic" Button; I've never seen such a thing. All I see is "New Topic" in an orange oblong box, stretched across the screen.
Are you a subscribed premium member? Maybe it's not available to me until I become one.
Added - Or, perhaps certain features are available in some countries, While others aren't in others?
It is not a button, it is 3 words of text, right below the big new topic button.
Edit Forum Topic, in text, I have a free account and I am using a desktop, not mobile phone.
Huh. I am using mobile. I wonder if this is the difference.
Sometimes, some things don't load, while other times, they do. And then, this edit forum topic feature, I've never seen load at all.
I should check it out when I get access to a computer.
Added - Also, is there a particular reason why I'm "banned from replying to [your] topics"? Was this simply a mistake, per chance?
Well, it's certainly been eons since I came here to chess.com forums. (Actually, I was here yesterday; but, before then, it was eons. Lol)
Was there not at one point a pm feature that allowed us to revisit sent pm? There was a very important pm that I sent either to another member or to myself (which one it is, I don't remember), and for some reason, I can't seem to access it anywhere in PM like I used to. It was a diagram 0f a large chess variant that I was inventing and making updates to. There were updated rules and new pieces that I need to come back to.
Is the 'sent messages' feature no longer available?
