I get this error please help Secure Connection Failed www.chess.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on 5/7/2009 1:59 AM. (Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate) * This could be a problem with the server's configuration, or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server. * If you have connected to this server successfully in the past, the error may be temporary, and you can try again later.

On 10/12/09 I received a similar message regarding the authenticity of the site's certificate, using Google Chrome as my browser. I didn't get this message using IE8 or Firefox 3.  I'd rather play or study chess than research this any further, but it is slightly disturbing...can anyone help out with more info here?

On the addr line https://www.chess.com there was a red "X" through the letters https (indicating a secure connection).

i've tested and cannot find this. it might have been a hiccup in the SSL server?
