Hi,

If I delete a message sent by me while it is still not read by the receiver of the message ... - will it then disappear from his inbox?
Or might he still be able to read it?

Thanks Laughing

FireAndLightz

Unless chess.com implemented its mail service in a very strange way, of course you cannot "take back" a mail, except maybe for a very short time after having sent it, and then only if there is a button dedicated to it.

Microsoft Exchange does support recall emails (assuming both parties use Microsoft Exchange). If you recall the mail, and that mail hasn't been read yet by the recipient, that mail in the recipient's inbox will be deleted without notifying the recipient.

Consider that I am an ignorant simpleton about the mail services then.

Still, it doesn't make sense to me. (which does not mean it does not exist)

netzach

Not if you have 'sent' it.

netzach

True. Fair-point.

'Edited' and brightened. :)

Thank you for your replies.

It looks as sent messages are sent for good, no regrets are possible Cry

We have to live with that then.
