Figured out that ring/silent switch must be in ring position. I don’t remember this from the past. I thought Chess sounds worked even in ringer silence mode.
I have been getting this problem on the Android app as well. Though I just played a short game and it worked. A lot of people have been reporting this it seems on different platforms. But I have not seen a reply. Is it fixed now or still a problem?
uhhhh i still do not have sounds and all my settings are correct

@markkosso, I got it working on IPhone by switching my phone out of ringer silent mode whenever I use the app. Possibly a new feature was added to follow whatever the ringer is set to?
I was playing on a tablet with sound on, but it went off half way through a game. It happened a couple of times. It's worse when you are 20 minutes into a game and it throws your concentration
