Starting a pre-configured game

Hello,

Is there a way to start a pre-configured game with a friend?  We were playing a game several weeks ago when I made a fatal mistake.  It was shaping up to be an excellent end game, but for that mistake.  

Is there a way that I can pre-configure the board without using the presets that are available?

No.

What you can do is to make a series of moves to get your pieces into that position. It might be appropriate to make this a Takeback game (which will be unrated) - as it will be easier to adjust the starting position.

There are over 3,000 starting positions that can be selected - but it will be difficult to establish whether your desired start point is one of these.

I re-use the same answer (by cutting and pasting) each time the same question is asked e.g. can-i-start-a-game-with-the-pieces-in-specific-position, using Google to find a previous instance.

Would be an interesting feature to add for unrated games.

It certainly would.

The Play from this position vs the Computer feature goes some way towards meeting it.
