hi -

Can a friend of mine and I play some unrated games starting from a position of our choosing (such as K+P versus K) for practice? I have not seen a way to do that. If such were added to all of the opening options there are, that would be perfect!

There are a number of specific opening variations you can start a game as but you can't set up any arbitrary position and play from there.

You might be able to do something via the Live Analysis Board though.

From the Live Analysis Board, you are able to input a FEN/PGN and play from there with any students. The advantages include ability to take back moves, a PGN of the whole game from the position, and drawing arrows on the board is also possible.
