The site has been battling that guy for a while. Just keep reporting when you find them. Moderators are catching a bunch too.
However, posting account in the forums isn't generally allowed, so the report via the profile is the best way.

Yes, I reported all the accounts I listed and most are already banned. I'm not posting here to ask for a ban on those specific accounts. I'm posting here in hopes of a better solution. The status quo is not effective. He is continuing to spam unimpeded. Live chat needs moderators who can boot spammers the moment they appear. I'm willing to do it and perhaps a few other chat regulars would be too.
The site has moderators in the chat; I've closed a number of accounts from being notified of that way.
That said, if you are over 18 and would like to be considered as a moderator, there is a form you can fill out linked in the description of the following club.

He is continuing to come back. Bans come too slowly for him; he needs to be banned *instantly* or else he is able to pollute the chat before the ban comes around. Also today he has started making accounts with variations on my name, probably because I call him out in the chat and tell others to report+block.
I am over 18 and have been a site member since 2011. I have probably reported this spammer more than 20 times now. I emailed the moderator group asking for an application, haven't heard back. The chat needs people like me to be moderators or else this spammer will be able to constantly interrupt and degrade the chat.

The application is linked in the moderator group, that's probably why you haven't heard back.
I'm not sure if the current method to apply to be a mod is to fill in the form in the mod club description or to contact support. If you do both, somebody will get it to where it needs to go.
Wait!
Why tons of people want to be a mod?

The winner could be luckier than Casino winner!

It is? Where? Are you sure it isn't only visible to group members? All I see is the link asking to email and request an application.
If I understand correctly, staff have seen and will review your application. I don't know any more than that, but I expect you'll hear from @shaun or somebody within a few days.
This spammer has interrupted live chat, where I hang out, dozens of times with dozens of different accounts. He's not being stopped or even visibly impeded by existing moderation; his accounts get banned but too late to matter. I just want my chat back.
I think he is making multiple accounts, once I reported him and his account got banned. Then next day, someone else with similar username started posting the same phrases, on both ChessTV and watching live games.
There is a spammer who keeps coming back to Live chat. He spams with many different accounts, such as https://www.chess.com/member/truejokerspammr .
He's been preventing discussion and driving people away for weeks. I've reported many of his accounts but he keeps coming back. Give me the power to ban him, and I will whenever I see him.
Why me? I'm willing. I often visit live chat. I'm a long time member. I believe in free speech and won't abuse it. No one else is banning him fast enough; he keeps making new accounts so although his accounts get banned it doesn't stop him. To stop him it is necessary to have someone such as me who hangs out in the chat and can ban him the moment he spams.
Some of the other accounts this spammer has used (based on my block list and my recollection): truejokerspammr1 truejoker1017 truejoker1018 truejoker1019 truejoker1020 truejoker1021 truejoker111 carefulcowsd12 carefulcowsd22 carefulcowsd23 carefulcowsd38 carefulcowsd55 Fatherofusa8 First5From5Last MagicGoneSoSad74 SPAMPLEASE .
