When one receives a notification for the tournament, after clicking on it. It takes too much time to load. In fact it takes so much time that the games have already started. This is a recurring issue. And miss out on tournaments because of this. Please sort this out
This might be a network related issue, or perhaps your device is overloaded. Try using a few trusted apps to 'boost' your device performance, make sure all of your apps are updated (including the browser), use well trusted apps, and check your internet connection for any screw-ups (there should be apps for this too).
Been there, done that several times. This is a chess.com issue. Phone is updated, app is updated and the internet connection is fine. This is a issue with the site. Please look into it.
Well I hope they do. I've noticed a lag of this sort before. Luckily for me, I mostly play rapid tournaments (though it's a been while).
Another bigger problem is when you join a tournament for above 1500 and because there aren’t enough participants you are transferred to an open tournament. But then when this happens after the first round is over you are no more in the tournament window and you don’t even know which games are going on and how much time it would take for your games (because you are not in the tournament window, you can’t even see other games) and you have to be on the keep the app open all this while after finishing you game for you never know when your game might start. These issues are very irritating.

I'm sure you've already tried this, but you could try exiting the live panel on you app (even close the app), and then click on tournament again to see if the tournament you're currently in shows up in the list, if it does then you just click on it. Hopefully that would enroll you in the tournament window.

Yes I have tired this too. If I close the app and then open and click on the tournament it directs me to the tournament I am on usually but not in case when because of lack of participants in above 1500 the tournament has been clubbed with open tournament. In that case mostly I don’t play after the 1st round for you never know how long you got to wait.
